My story: “I didn’t leave my child, but I was in a desperate situation.”

My name is Varduhi… This, of course, is not my real name, but it is not important!
I want to share my story with you.

Everyone dreams of having a happy family, a loving husband and a healthy baby.
We lived in Russia, I worked with my husband, everything was fine until I found out I was pregnant. It was a great joy for me. At some point I couldn’t work any more and my husband decided that I should go home to live with his mother. I agreed. Our bride-mother-in-law relationship was very good for a month, when one day my mother-in-law suggested I should give up my child after the birth so my husband could take custody, and that way they would receive money from the state.
Of course, I could not do that because I waited a long time for my baby. I came to Armenia after a lot of arguments. My husband also came two weeks before the baby was born. At first everything was really well․ The baby was born with a few problems (blood incompatibility, intrauterine pneumonia), but we both overcame it. We were about to go back to Russia when suddenly my husband raised the question of abandoning the baby.

Another argument started. The family of my husband’s friend got mixed up, and within 10 days our family was on the verge of collapse. During that time, my baby had more problems, and we were taken to the hospital. My mother-in-law and the friend’s family had such an influence on my husband that he left us in the hospital and left. I did not leave my child, but I was in a desperate situation․ I did not know what to do, where to go, what should my baby eat or be dressed in…
At that moment ”Bari Mama” came to help me and provided us with all kinds of amenities; medicine, milk, food, clothing, etc.
We movedl to “Bari Tnak” from the hospital and received social and psychological assistance.
The most important thing is that now I am reunited with my family again, there is no thought of leaving my baby whatsoever … For this happiness I want to express my gratitude to ”Bari Mama”, ”Bari Tnak” and all its staff…I love you very much…
